Art Studio Classes

Spend two hours in an Art Studio workshop and take away a lasting memory of your Sundance visit. Choose from single-session workshops in jewelry making, wheel-thrown pottery, journal making, watercolor, acrylic or oil painting, printmaking or drawing.

Visiting Artist Program

Join us Saturdays in the Art Studio for a live demonstration by local artists and a presentation of their work. We’re pleased to host such talented artists and show their work at Sundance. The pieces will be on display for the two weeks.

Pottery Class

Feel clay take shape beneath your fingers in an Art Studio Pottery class. Make and glaze your own wheel thrown or hand-built pieces. Sundance master potters will fire your creation and send it along to you in a few weeks. Instruction is geared toward all levels.

Soap Making Class

See and smell the unique Sundance soaps take form in our brand-new soap making class. Learn about the ingredients used and choose different essential oils and plant materials to create and take home your own Sundance creation.

Journal Making Class

See your memories take shape beneath your hands as you create your own custom leather journal. Design and imprint the leather cover with metal stamps and burning tools, then create paper signatures and stitch them to the cover for a one-of-a kind journal or notebook.

Create your own ring, bracelet or pendant in the silversmithing class. Learn to set a semi-precious stone in sterling silver. Try your hand at beading in our beading class.

Discover your spark of creativity while standing at an easel before towering Mount Timpanogos. Sundance art instructors will help you define your impression of the Sundance environment in watercolor, acrylic, oil, charcoal, drawing pencil, collage, or encaustic.

If you don’t have time for a full class, drop in for a quick project to make and take home. Create a candle with homemade glass and scents or work on jewelry-making. or try one of our printmaking projects.

Glassblower Studio

Visit the Art Studio’s Glassblowing Studio to watch the poetic motions of our craftsmen. In a perfect fusion of our artistic and environmental purposes, they transform molten discarded glass into art pieces, vases, wine glasses, dinner plates or pitchers.
